About the RoleAs a Principal Software Engineer-Medical Imaging at DeepSpin, you will play a pivotal role in the implementation of the front-end and back-end of the MRI machine for clinical users to be able to leverage all the abilities of the system. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing the performance and reliability of the systems in ever more challenging environments. Additionally, this role offers a strong potential for growth into a Team Lead position as the team expands.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and test software applications for the DeepSpin MRI machine
- Lead full software lifecycle from deployment, maintenance to end-of-life
- Ensure compliance with relevant medical software standards (e.g. FDA, ISO, CE)
- Own the translation from prototype to cleared / certified product
- Provide technical documentation for the design, implementation and testing of the software
- Champion software development best practices
About You- Proven experience leading software development projects in a medical or regulated environment, typically 5+ years.
- Demonstrated experience developing web-based software under IEC 29148 / IEC 62304 in a Medical Device or MedTech organisation (class IIa+ preferred) as part of a small business or team
- In-depth knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 14971, and other relevant medical device standards
- Experience with planning and organising complex work packages
- Experience with Python, Linux, Git and/or modern web frameworks is desirable
- Good communication skills in English and a collaborative approach to work
- Prior MRI experience is desirable, but not essential
- Experience in transitioning software from proof-of-concept to certified product is a plus
